New to Chicago

I know the BSG is closed.....The week I get into town. But I am looking for a RPG game in the area if anyone needs players. I'm 45 and have played lots of RPG's so I'm open to almost any game.

Don is bringing up a good point. While these forums are continuing, people who are not part of the cliche do not realize what is continuing. We need to start a thread for this purpose. The calendar needs to be updated. Each group should designate a communications person to keep the communications open.

Group organizers: Update the calendar with the information on your group.

State at least the following:

• When are you meeting? (Dates/ Times) For example, each Tuesday Night at 7P
• Where are you meeting? (By neighborhood if possible) For example, North Park Neighborhood in September 2011
• Who is the contact? (an email is best, but a phone is also good. Do not leave this calendar as the contact.)
• What is the game? (Be specific, D&D 3rd edition is good. "A home brew based on the writings of JRR Tolkien" is a better description. For example our Tuesday night group changes system and the background every four months. So our description might be "We change our DM, system and the campaign background every four months.  The players range in age from twenties into their fifties. The group has been together for less than 18 months. We welcome new members."

Agreed. This post makes it clear that people new to the area are not going to be able to navigate this site. We need some stickies on some things. I think the topics need to be rewritten and reassigned too.
